For the past 15+ years, I've been leading and growing high performance product design teams at high growth startups and large organizations in a diverse range of application domains, including both business and consumer-facing products. My experience has allowed me to evolve those teams from a handful of folks to teams of 10+ members, spanning product design, research, and content strategy. Our hard work has made a positive impact on people's lives while delivering exceptional business results. Working cross-functionally, I have significant experience articulating a compelling vision, effectively advocating for design, and engaging executive leadership across an organization. I've also been building experience hiring and empowering other senior leaders since 2018. Read on for more information about the major steps in my career so far.
Meta (Aug 2021 - present)
At Meta, I empower design teams of 10+ members, including managers and individual contributors, responsible for the consumer shopping experience on Facebook and Instagram, as well as, creating new tools for advertisers. Our efforts have directly contributed to Meta exceeding top-line goals and establishing a new multi-billion dollar stream.
I developed a long-term vision for the onsite buyer experience across Meta's family of apps, gaining strong buy-in from senior leadership. To ensure successful execution, I addressed capacity gaps, resolved conflicts, streamlined partnership models, improved team operations, and promoted design excellence.
I fostered a culture of inclusion, psychological safety, and empowerment, achieving a 90%+ manager favorability rating in employee Pulse surveys. I successfully mentored design managers and senior individual contributors, contributing to their career growth and building a leadership bench.
Gusto (May 2019 - Mar 2021)
At Gusto, I worked alongside other design leaders and gained experience with larger scale design teams (30+ people). I led teams of 5+ members, including senior managers and individual contributors, across several high-impact missions (Growth, Payroll, CX, and Design Systems). I was recognized for scaling Gusto’s design team the most in a single year through strong recruiting and hiring practices. During these challenging times with the ongoing pandemic, I made positive impact on team culture, morale, retention, and overall efficiency. I helped up-level the company’s overall growth practice with a strong focus on advancing the team’s data literacy and approach to experimentation. My team's work improved the usability of key product experiences, making users more effective, efficient, satisfied, and transformed the way users seek help with a strong focus on empowering users to help themselves and enabling Gusto to scale its business more effectively.

Bill.com (May 2014 - May 2019)
In 2014, I joined Bill.com as Head of Product Design with a mission to build a scalable and highly effective product design practice. I grew the team from 1 to 10+ members across design, research, content design, and operations. That's where I also fell in love with being in service of small businesses and their people. I helped transform the company’s product development process by ensuring that all efforts receive early user validation prior to development, using a fast and more nimble design process, that is driven by strong user research and cross-functional collaboration. Dozens of design sprints and hundreds of research studies later, we were able to reimagine the process of making business payments and help small businesses get back time to focus on making their workplaces thrive. Leveraging the experience I had gained working with mobile platforms in the past, I was also responsible for developing and executing Bill.com's mobile strategy which resulted in higher customer retention and ARPU. In 2016, I was recognized as employee of the year. On the business side of things, Bill.com became the leading platform for business payments in the US, leading in 2019 to one of the most successful IPOs of the technology sector.

Velti (Sep 2006 - Dec 2013)
My design leadership journey began back in 2006, when I joined Velti, a mobile marketing and advertising disruptor, where I had the chance to build a design team from scratch over the course of seven years. I was responsible for product design strategy across a variety of product lines (campaign management tools, reporting, CRM, etc). As a principal member of the company’s innovation team, we pushed the boundaries of innovative mobile technologies and it was at that time that I helped develop the vision for 5ml, a code-less authoring tool for developers and designers who wanted to make the most of HTML5 advancements with little to no coding experience. This authoring tool formed the basis for numerous state-of-the art mobile campaigns and was eventually sold to one of the largest advertising agencies in the US. Velti had its IPO in 2011 and shortly thereafter I was selected to lead product design across the company's global footprint from the SF office.
